For Chartered Accountants

Your practice. One dashboard.

TatvaBooks gives Indian CA firms a way to manage every client, every return and every article — without juggling Tally, GSTN, TRACES, WhatsApp and Excel.

Built for your articles. Trusted by your partners.

Books anyone can keep.
Books your CA can trust.

Your first-year articles can do data entry across every client book. The product won't let them post a wrong-ledger sale, an unbalanced voucher, or a non-taxable supply with a GST slab. Partner review time drops to minutes — you only look at what the system flagged.

Built for CA practices

Six reasons firms switch in their first quarter.

One login, every client

Switch between client books in two clicks. Search by GSTIN, PAN or trade name. Your whole practice, one login.

A filing-deadline tracker that emails before you miss

Track every GSTR-1, 3B, 9, TDS (24Q/26Q/27Q), ITR, PF and ESI due date, per client. Automatic email reminders go out seven days before a deadline, with overdue alerts after. Mark each obligation filed as you go. ROC (AOC-4/MGT-7) tracking is coming soon.

Article-level permissions

First-year articles can do data entry and prepare working papers but not approve. Seniors edit and review. Partners approve and lock the period. No more sharing client logins on WhatsApp.

A client portal under your firm's name

Your firm's name and registration details (ICAI/COP, GSTIN, PAN) front the portal your clients log into. They upload documents, you reply, and it all stays in one place with a consent trail — not scattered across email.

GST reconciliation before you file

Import GSTR-2B, auto-match it against purchases, and surface the ITC mismatches that cost clients money — so the figures are clean before they reach the portal. Export any report to CSV. Live GSTN filing links are on our near-term roadmap.

Document vault and a full audit trail

Every client document in one vault, every action logged — who created, who edited, when. An append-only trail you can hand a reviewer, long before an audit asks.

Getting started

From one client to your whole practice.

01

Start with one client

Pick a client and import their customer and supplier masters from a CSV in minutes. Set opening balances and start posting — you'll see the difference in your next return cycle.

02

Onboard your articles

Roles, permissions, document access — set up in a single screen. We train your team in two 60-minute sessions, recorded for new joiners.

03

Add clients at your own pace

Bring clients on one at a time — masters in, opening balances set, then post live. You control the pace; there's no big-bang switchover. Private beta currently supports up to 15 client books.

04

Run your practice from the dashboard

Switch between client books, see each client's upcoming filing deadlines, and keep your team in the right lane with article-level permissions — without juggling three Excel sheets.

What beta partners are telling us

Three themes from private-beta firms.

We're in private beta. Rather than fabricate named testimonials, here's what we're consistently hearing from the CA firms running on TatvaBooks today. Named case studies will go up after public launch — with the firm's permission and audited numbers.

Month-end cycles compress

Across beta firms, the recurring theme: article time on the month-end grind falls sharply once data entry is locked to the system's validation. We're collecting before/after numbers as cycles complete and will publish them — with names — at public launch.

Article-level permissions are the headline feature

The most-mentioned benefit from beta partners isn't filings — it's that articles never need to see GSTN, MCA or TRACES passwords. Partners describe it as the first time they've felt comfortable letting first-years touch every client book.

A portal under the firm's name changes the relationship

Firms tell us SMB clients respond to a proper client portal — under the firm's name, with a document trail — differently than to scattered email threads. We're tracking client retention across beta firms; results will be shared once we have a meaningful cohort.

Frequently asked

What CA partners want to know.

How many clients can I add?

During private beta, up to 15 client books on the Practice plan, with higher limits coming at public launch. The product is built to scale — switching, searching and reporting stay fast as your client list grows.

Can my articles work without seeing client passwords?

Yes — this is the default. Articles prepare the books and working papers inside TatvaBooks but never see GSTN, MCA or TRACES passwords. You and your partners review, approve and lock the period; filing on the government portals stays in your hands.

What about clients who insist on Tally?

You can export ledgers and reports to CSV for any client who wants to take their data elsewhere. In our experience, after two GST cycles inside TatvaBooks, most clients don't ask for Tally again.

Do you bill per client or per article?

Per firm. Practice covers 3 firm staff seats (articles, seniors, partners) and up to 15 client books during private beta. Higher staff seats and additional client books are on the roadmap for public launch — no per-client billing, ever.

How do you handle audit support?

Every transaction has an append-only audit trail — who created it, who edited it and when. Schedule III mapping is already built into the chart of accounts and reports. Deeper audit tooling is something we're exploring with beta firms; we'll commit to specifics once they're firm.
