Refund Policy
What's refundable, what isn't, and how to request a refund. We've tried to make this fair on both sides.
The 30-day money-back guarantee
For first-time annual subscriptions to the Business and Practice plans, you can request a full refund within 30 days of payment for any reason. No questions asked.
Email support@tatvabooks.com with your account email and we'll process the refund to your original payment method within 7 working days.
Monthly plans
Monthly plans are non-refundable for the current billing cycle. You can cancel anytime — the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current cycle, and you won't be charged again.
Annual plans after 30 days
Annual subscriptions are non-refundable after the 30-day window, with two exceptions:
- Material service failure. If TatvaBooks is unavailable for more than 24 hours due to our fault, you can request a pro-rata refund for the affected period plus the rest of the subscription.
- Material change to terms. If we make a material change to these Terms or our pricing during your subscription period that materially disadvantages you, you can request a pro-rata refund for the remaining period.
Migration concierge
The one-time migration concierge fee is refundable if the migration cannot be completed due to our inability to handle your data format or scale. It is not refundable if your data cannot be migrated because of data quality issues that you're unable to resolve (we'll always tell you upfront if this is the case, and recommend not proceeding).
Add-ons
Add-on charges (extra users, extra payroll employees) are billed on a pro-rata basis when you add them. Refunds for downgrades follow the same logic — the credit goes to your account, applied to the next renewal.
How to request a refund
- Email support@tatvabooks.com from the address registered on your account.
- Include your account email and the reason for the refund.
- We'll respond within one working day. Most refunds are processed within 7 working days; rare cases may take up to 14.
What happens to your data
When you cancel or get a refund, your data isn't deleted immediately. You have 90 days to export it from your account to CSV. After 90 days, data is permanently deleted, except for records we're legally required to retain.

If you're unhappy with how a refund was handled, escalate to support@tatvabooks.com. We'll review the matter and respond within 7 working days.
