Terms of Service

1. Who is "we"

"We," "us" and "TatvaBooks" refer to Tatva Fintech Private Limited, an Indian private limited company with CIN U66190PN2025PTC250051, registered at Office No. 1, Mayfair Towers - II, Shivajinagar, Pune 411005.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 and have the authority to bind your business. You're responsible for what happens under your account, so use a strong password and enable two-factor authentication.

You can invite other people to your account. They'll have the permissions you grant them. You remain responsible for their actions on your behalf.

3. Subscription and billing

The Solo plan is free forever. Paid plans (Business, Practice, Enterprise) are billed monthly or annually as you choose. Prices are listed on the pricing page and are exclusive of GST.

Auto-renewal:annual plans auto-renew unless you cancel at least 7 days before renewal. We'll email you a renewal reminder 14 days out.

Refunds: see our Refund Policy. Short version: 30-day money-back guarantee on the first paid year.

Payment failure:if a payment fails, we'll retry over 7 days and email you. After 30 days of non-payment, paid features are suspended, but your data remains intact for a further 90 days.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use TatvaBooks to launder money or evade tax.
• Upload malware, run network attacks, or attempt to access other customers' data.
• Resell TatvaBooks without our written agreement.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile or copy the platform.
• Use TatvaBooks for any purpose that violates Indian law.

We reserve the right to suspend an account for serious or repeated violations, after reasonable notice where possible.

5. Your data

Your books, invoices, vendors, employees — your data — remain yours. We process it on your behalf to operate the service. Details in our Privacy Policy and DPA.

You can export your data anytime to CSV. On account closure, your data remains available for 90 days for download, then is permanently deleted (except for legally-required retention).

6. Our IP

The TatvaBooks software, including the design, code, brand and documentation, belongs to Tatva Fintech Private Limited. You get a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use it for as long as your account is in good standing.

7. Service availability

We aim for 99.9% uptime on Business and Practice plans, and 99.99% on Enterprise dedicated infra. The current uptime is visible at status.tatvabooks.com.

If we breach the SLA in a billing cycle, you're entitled to a service credit per the Enterprise contract or, for Business/Practice, a pro-rata extension of your subscription.

8. Filings and compliance

TatvaBooks helps you prepare and file returns. You remain responsible for the accuracy of those filings and for meeting due dates. We are not your tax consultant. We will, however, do everything we can to make filing easier and more accurate.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by Indian law, our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We're not liable for indirect, consequential or speculative damages — lost profits, lost opportunities, loss of goodwill. We are liable for damages caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your use of TatvaBooks in violation of these Terms (e.g., we won't cover the consequences of you using TatvaBooks to file a fraudulent return).

11. Termination

You can cancel anytime from your account settings or by writing to support@tatvabooks.com. We can terminate for breach of these Terms with reasonable notice; for serious breach, with immediate effect.

12. Changes to these Terms

We'll email account holders at least 30 days before any material change. Continued use of TatvaBooks after the change constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Indian law. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Pune, Maharashtra.

Before going to court, we agree to attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith negotiation. If that fails within 30 days, we may proceed.
